Where I Sew – Megan Nielsen
My name is Megan Nielsen and I am a ready to wear turned sewing pattern designer. I love creating sewing patterns with fashion forward design that fit into a woman’s every day wardrobe. As a mom of three, I know the challenges of sewing for a changing body, so my line of patterns also includes the only stylish maternity and nursing sewing patterns on the market. I like to think of sewing as “fashion you Make!”, and hope that my sewing patterns will help make sewing a more enjoyable and stylish experience.

Great sewing area. A sewing machine and serger! Nice. I have a serger I got from my mom, but I don’t use it nearly as much as I thought I might.

I too have a serger – never used (purchased almost 2 years ago). I plan to learn to use it after I retire in December. I need time to concentrate on it. I know it will streamline some of the doll clothes I make for my granddaughters.

I love how simple and concise this looks! My favorite part is the organizational wall

I like the use of pegboard! I might incorporate that idea into my sewing area.

Great sewing space! I wish I had my own space…I use my kitchen table whenever I want to sew. Thank you!

The pegboard looks great — and nicely organized too! 🙂

I have that same squirt bottle. It alternates between sprit zing water on my fabric as I press and squirting water at mischievous cats and dogs–long distance discipline so I don’t have to slow down my quilting. 🙂

I need to learn how to use my serger more effectively…

I’ve often thought about a peg board (I think that’s what it’s called) to hang rulers, scizzors, rotary cutters, etc) within reach of my sewing machine. My machine is on a folding table without drawers and I need some place to store my stuff! Thanks for the give away!
