I love that her ironing board multi-tasks as a desk….! ????

It does! I have a small house but a nicely set up space to work, and very often I use it as a desk, too… Means I have to keep everything tidy. 🙂

Love that StephC is in the picture! Lovely natural light and one busy lady!

I too use my ironing board as a laptop desk. Great looking patterns.

Ah, the consummate multi-talker!

Tasker, that is.

Cute how she uses the ironing board as her desk. I also like her sewing machine and serger.

It’s a Janome 4900, and a Husq 950… I love my machines, they work very hard!

Didnt realize at first that she’s using ironing board as her desk 😀

She shows that you can work in a compact space.

Quilter-friends of mine got me in the habit of swiveling between my ironing board and sewing machine for efficiency/laziness, and it just grew from there… 😉

I love Cake patterns! In fact I’m wearing The Tee right now! The laptop on the ironing board is hilarious, and I think really shows her sense of humor. Yay Steph!

I need to recover my ironing board. It is probably from the 80’s. What a nice cozy space.

LOL _ great picture with all the computer addictions!
View CommentJuly 18, 2014
hehehe, the laptop is for emails and pattern-creation, the ipad is for streaming news/music and the phone is to chat with my editor/Instagram…

Thanks for the The Tee pattern! 🙂

I hope you love her and make lots of great Tees. 🙂

The coffee in her hand fuels her sewing addiction!

So I’m not the only one using her ironing board as a counter! Love that iron holder, neat!
View CommentJuly 18, 2014
I love it, too… It was already attached to the ironing board and has silicon on it, I think? Like plastic but not melty… 🙂

Great photo and post…so glad to learn about her patterns and I love her outfit! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I am relieved that I am not the only person that has a whole lotta multitasking going on in a small space!

Love the photo. What a crack up. In looking at all the sewing spaces featured so far this month I notice some trends: cats love sewing rooms, Ikea is a savior for creating creative spaces, sew-ers are very resourceful.
View CommentJuly 18, 2014
Hehe, my cat gets right into my sewing, too… Sometimes even putting her silly paws on my seam while I’m stitching.. 🙂
View CommentJuly 18, 2014
Yes a mutli-tasker making great use of their limited space. I believe this is called working efficiently.

Love this picture, I have a pressing pad rather than an ironing board as I ended up using the board to store stuff on and laptop holder!

Multi tasking! My kind of gal!

Another thumbs up for the multitasking ironing board.

Takes a bunch of sewists to give high praise for an ironing board multi-tasking as a desk! Mine makes a regular appearance in the living room. Handy for many reasons. Could use a more styling cover, too 😉
View CommentJuly 19, 2014
My kind of room efficient and multitasking all at hands reach. Congrats Steph… efficiency to its maximum.

I look like that too frequently in my sewing room too – totally faced away from the sewing machines!
View CommentJuly 21, 2014
I love this picture!! I’m so glad I’m not the only one that feels like sitting down to sew is sometimes impossible. I end up doing anything and everything but sewing while sitting at my machine! 🙂
