Where I Sew – Heather Jones
I am Heather Jones and I own Heather Jones Studio. I combine my love of fine art and vintage quilts with unexpected inspiration in my unique modern patchwork designs, which I offer through both patterns and finished quilts. My projects are fresh interpretations of the traditional art of quilt making, easy to construct, and have a strong graphic quality. I also teach workshops throughout the county, as well as online on Creativebug.com. I have been published in numerous books and magazines, most recently as a contributing author of Lucky Spool’s “Essential Guide to Modern Quilt Making” (July 2014), and have just completed by first solo publication with STC Craft| Melanie Falick Books which will be released in the Fall of 2015.

Love the helper you have (kitty). Wish I had such a large cutting table.

That is fantastic, and it just made me realize that I might have an easier time seeing my dropped bits of thread and fabric if I removed my carpet and could see the contrast against my dark wood floors! I like the big separate cutting area too.

Placing the sewing machine right by the window makes so much sense, the natural light in the daytime would be great. I have my machine at a right angle to my windows. May have to rethink this!

Ha, funny cat 🙂 I love that your sewing machine is right in front of the window!

Great sewing space. Hardwood floor would be so much easier to clean up.

The dark floors are so beautiful! I’d love to have hardwood in my sewing space too.

What a nice big space! I would be distracted with my sewing machine facing a window, though. I have two kitty helpers of my own as well, that’s why my bobbins keep disappearing, I think. Thanks for the give away!
