Where I Sew – Jen Hagedorn of Tie Dye Diva
Hi, I’m Jen, the designer, pattern maker and writer behind Tie Dye Diva Patterns. Since 2007, my line of more than 70 downloadable sewing patterns has focused on easy-to-sew and easy-to wear classic clothing designs for baby and child, with just a touch of whimsy like animal ears on fleece hats and ruffled bottoms on babywear. I aim to make sewing a gratifying and educational process that gives even beginning sewers a result to be proud of. I live in Northern California with a supportive and patient husband who never complains about having serger tails sticking to his shirt, and 3 beautiful children who are great fit models, accomplished fabric-stash refolders and enthusiastic critics of my work.

I love your blue walls, your fabric looks so pretty with the blue backdrop. I never thought of having my kids refold my stash – great idea! But now that mine are 26 and 19, I don’t think I could wrangle them into it!

I’ve known Jen for several years, since we were sewing buddies in an etsy group. Her patterns are fabulous, and her studio fits her to a T. Love the splashes of color. Her fabric stash makes me green with envy!

What a delightful sewing studio. Is my fabric envy showing through? I can vouch for Jen’s patterns, as I have been sewing with them for some time and they are well constructed and the instructions are so easy to follow.
