What We’re Making! The Hooded Scarf from Jamie Christina

on Dec 10, 2013 in Sewing, What We're Making | 12 comments

When I saw the Jamie Christina Hooded Scarf pattern, I knew I had to make one(or three) for myself! With the rare teen degrees here in western Washington, this made a great addition to my wardrobe.

The hooded scarf is quick to whip up and the pattern is well written, with plenty of detail.  I enjoyed creating this one so much that I made the black one below for my boyfriend for Christmas.

The outer fabric is wool and the lining is flannel(both from my stash) making it super soft against your skin. We have some beautiful Mammoth and Shetland flannel from Robert Kaufman that would make a stunning hooded scarf.

The Hooded Scarf would make a great gift for any guy or gal this holiday season!

I’m in love with how they turned out!

Happy sewing!

  8. I am finally getting around to buying material.
RE: how much fabric to buy for reversible ?
Says “1 yard of fabric and lining. Does that mean 1/2 yard of each, 1/2 yard of fabric, 1/2 yard of lining? And same for other views?
Is the lining the reverse side?
