Peek Inside Pink Chalk Fabrics in Love Patchwork and Quilting Magazine

Take a look at Pink Chalk Fabrics behind the scenes, in the brand new magazine from the UK, Love Patchwork and Quilting! We are so honored to be featured in the first issue. The magazine is filled with a ton of inspiration from projects, color, new products and interviews of designers, bloggers and shop owners.

Kathy shares how she got into sewing, turned her hobby into a business, upcoming industry trends and a typical work day.

I especially love Kathy’s answer to the question, What do you think it is about quilts that elicits such passion from sewers?
Kathy explains – Love and gratitude is integral to making quilts. I believe that every quilter’s inspiration starts from a special place in our heart. Whether it’s a project especially created for a family member, a commission quilt, an art piece that will hang on the wall – there’s a passion within us to share and express a piece of our soul through the act of making a quilt. We stitcher’s communicate our love through the good thoughts that flow into our stitches during the process of making the quilt. That quilt ultimately wraps around a person, and offers them literal comfort, completes this act of sharing ourselves through our creative gifts.

Here’s a few more shop photos.

Hope you enjoyed our little tour through the shop. We hope to carry the new magazine when available in the US, so stay tuned. In the mean time here is the link to ordering your own copy through the publisher in the UK. Other designer’s featured include, Jeni Baker of In Color Order, Maureen Cracknell, Allison Harris of Cluck Cluck Sew, and Ellen Lucket Baker of the Long Thread.

Happy sewing!
