Where I Sew – Sarah of Cali Faye Collection
My minimalistic approach in the children’s fashion world shows not only in the space in which I create but also in the sewing patterns I design. My intention behind every Cali Faye Collection design is clean and simple, yet so appropriate and fun. The space in which my creative energy is focused plays a huge role in getting that intention across.

Hi, Your sewing area looks like a quiet retreat very simple but realistic. Love it.

Love the table you sew on & the natural light. But you have to have your fabric somewhere… 🙂

I’m all for the minimalist approach, too! Keeps my head clear for quilt ideas!

I admire the sparseness of this space, but I can never achieve it. To some degree, we are who we are, and I’m not a minimalist.

I keep my fabric in shelves and in woven hemp containers. The two walls not shown in the picture have shelves as well as my computer. I had to get my drafting table and machines in the picture though! I love the light in my room too! It’s so helpful but from February until October I get the sun full blast for about six hours a day so it can get hot.
