Where I Sew – Lida Enche

on Jul 13, 2013 in Where I Sew | 73 comments

I am an Artist, Illustrator and Graphic Designer and am so lucky to have been able to create 3 fabric collections that are based on my paintings with In The Beginning Fabrics, my manufacturer. I love nature and to garden, and much of my artwork and illustrations reflect that. For the fabric collections, I create hand painted acrylic illustrations on watercolor paper that I scan, put into repeat, then submit to my manufacturer. I enjoy spreading the joy I feel of being in nature, creating art and being creative.

    • Thank you for all the kind comments about my work space. For the person that is afraid that they would get nothing done with a big squishy chair, I can tell you that it is certainly not a productivity enhancing piece of furniture!
Thank you Pink Chalk Fabric for spotlighting me!
      Peace and Happiness 🙂

  1. I need a dog to hang out with me! I would probably end up with one of those crazy fabric eating dogs though!

  13. What a lovely space to create – I like that there is room for a large vase of flowers, the fairy lights and of course a pet. I shall have to start bribing my cat to sit nicely for photos with my quilts.

  14. No studio is complete without some furry four legged pet nearby. Wish there were more photos of each studio. I love seeing where people create and what gets them excited.

  15. I love big windows and lots of natural light in my workspaces, too. But I always wonder how to prevent that lovely sunshine from doing damage to my fabric, yarn, artwork, etc. Ideas, anyone?

  17. I love following the “Where I Sew” thread. It has given me an insight into others’ minds and messes…8-) I’ve seen the spaces of people I follow and of people I’ve never heard of. I can’t wait to see who we are going to meet next!
