Where I Sew – Rachel Hauser of Stitched in Color

on Jul 5, 2013 in Where I Sew | 87 comments

Rachel Hauser is the voice behind Stitched in Color, where she nurtures an active community through quilt-alongs, scrap fests and a daily dose of inspiration. Rachel’s self-hosted, self-designed online classes have been a big hit. Her new class, the Penny Sampler, opens for registration July 22nd. When she’s not sewing, Rachel homeschools her two children and manages do. Good Stitches, a virtual charity quilting bee of nearly 300 members. She loves color and aims to live in it a bit more day by day.

  1. Really like the color of the walls, but the view out the window is to die for! Is that why you are facing the other way at the sewing machine? 😉

  19. Your scrappy-covered chair looks great in your space Rachel. 🙂 It adds a nice pop of color next to the dark woods in the furniture.

  23. I love your studio and your chair is amazing!! What a great idea- I might have to give it a try. Thanks for the tip about the curved needle. I can see how that would make attaching the cover easier.
