Alyssa Thomas is an author, illustrator, designer, and artist. As a child, she would make everything from beaded bracelets to large papier maché masks and then barter with her brothers at the “trading post” outside her bedroom door. Alyssa is owner and designer for Penguin & Fish, manufacturer of lovely and quirky hand embroidery patterns, kits, sewing patterns, and artful plush. Alyssa also designs fabric for Clothworks Textiles and recently released her first craft book, Sew & Stitch Embroidery, now available in stores.

  6. I love embroidery, and that crocheted stool cover is wonderful! Another creative space, I love seeing where other people work. My sewing space is my “sanctuary”.
